-S(h)elf Portrait 1972 (60 pp., Viper's Tongue Books, 2008) ISBN 978-987-24581-0-2 A sequence of fifty black and white photographs. Photographed over a period of time, the space undergoes a series of changes dictated by natural shifts in daylight as well as by human intervention. If these images provide a portrait of the fleetingly present inhabitant, as the title suggests, then he is in a constant state of flux and self-examination, as many of the photographs are images of themselves. (Printed Matter catalogue). The photographs were originally taken in New York in 1972, published in Buenos Aires in 2008. The original photographs are in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia collection. |
